PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy involves using electromagnetic waves to stimulate cells in the body. It's like giving cells a gentle energy boost to help them function better and promote healing.
For Stanley, we use the EPAD device, which is activated by a sensor. It's designed for easy use throughout the day—Stanley can simply pop on it and benefit from PEMF therapy whenever he wants it.
The EPAD device has three different settings that control the intensity and frequency of the electromagnetic pulses. These settings allow us to customise the therapy based on Stanley's needs at any given time.
I particularly love how Stanley gravitates towards the device when he senses he needs it. It's like he knows it helps him feel better. Sometimes, when he's resting, I sneak in a session with the EPAD for myself too. It's amazing to see how a simple device can make such a difference in our daily lives.
If you want to learn more about PEMF, check out a great podcast on Spotify called The PEMF Podcast by NewMed LTD. This is the company where I purchased Stanley's mat from.
But our journey into wellness doesn't stop there. In our upcoming blog posts, we'll delve into an eye-opening discovery that has reshaped our understanding of animal health: zoopharmacognosy. This fascinating field explores how animals instinctively self-medicate by selecting and using specific herbs and minerals. Imagine our astonishment upon learning that Stanley and other animals possess an innate ability to seek out these natural remedies. This behavior, rooted in centuries of instinctual wisdom, offers profound insights into intuitively supporting our pets' health.
Join us as we unravel the mysteries behind zoopharmacognosy and its potential to revolutionise our approach to caring for our dogs. Together, we'll explore how tapping into their natural instincts can enhance their well-being and deepen our bond with them.
